THE GORING HOTEL
This is a grand old establishment opened in 1910, situated very close to Buckingham Palace. It was used for Kate and her family to stay on the night before she married Prince William in 2011.
The Goring previously saw the hotel filled with royalty attending from all over the world for the Coronations of George VI and also Her Majesty The Queen. The Queen Mother also famously enjoyed Eggs Drumkilbo – a lobster and egg-based dish that remains one of the most popular dishes in The Dining Room. We actually ordered this dish and it was absolutely superb, and its well worth going to the Goring restaurant for this dish.
The Executive Chef is Shay Cooper, who gained his first Michelin star at The Bingham Hotel in Richmond. Then in 2015 The Goring Hotel gained its first Michelin Star in creating elegant, modern variations on classic British dishes.

The steak tartare and the Eggs Drumkilbo (lobster omlette) were sublime and the other dishes were all of a very high standard. Along with being in an exquisite grand dining room with impeccable service, we were all very impressed. And would definitely go back again. We give this a strong 8/10 to 8.5/10
