TREDWELLS BY MARCUS WAREING

In our opinion “it's not worth it!!”. If you have read our reviews on Marcus Wareings other restaurant Marcus at the Berkeley Hotel, you will know that we absolutely adore that restaurant and we hold it in a very high regard. However Tredwells really does not match up in anyway to Marcus at the Berkeley. Tredwells is supposed to be more of a relaxed casual style restaurant as opposed to the fine dining restaurant of Marcus, but in our opinion the food should be of a similar standard, sadly this is not the case. We went there with a dozen people and not one of us liked it or had anything good to say about it. In fact their Eton Mess was so disappointing that three of us sent it back! All their Eton Mess consisted of was blueberry flavoured ice cream with added tiny mini gems of meringue, they would have been better to call it Blueberry Ice cream rather than Eton Mess and then we wouldn't have been so disappointed. On the plus side their saving grace was Marcus Wareings famous chicken liver mousse on bacon jam toast served in a jam jar, which is delicious and is not to be missed.

But as we have said before there are so many great restaurants in London that it is not worth wasting your time or money in this one.
